Introduction

Many of us have seen the images of plastic islands floating in the oceans and sea turtles getting strangled by plastic. But what many do not realize is, that the consequences of pollution with plastic goes much deeper, all the way down to a molecular level.

In this workshop, we will examine the matter more closely, by looking at how plastic pollution impacts fertility rates and biochemistry in humans and animals and what that means for the balance of life and ecosystems.
